In recognition of their effort and dedication to training the girls, boys and young people who build the future and making a great effort with their own resources, the State Government will make effective the payment of the salary increase to the teachers of Yucatán in 2024, authorized by the Federation, reported Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal.
In a message issued via social networks, the Governor announced that this increase will be reflected in a complementary payroll that will be paid in the coming days and that will also include the retroactive salary increase from the month of January.
Vila Dosal added that to make this possible, as the State Government, the corresponding contribution will be made to comply in a timely manner. Therefore, more than 242 million pesos will be allocated to benefit state education workers.
“With these actions, we want to reaffirm our commitment to the teachers of Yucatán, demonstrating that we not only listen to them, but also address their concerns and needs. Because we know that when you are well, our girls, boys and young people are also well too,” he stated.
Likewise, Vila Dosal reiterated to this sector that he will continue to work hard and as a team, until the last day of the administration to transform Yucatán for the better.
The salary increases that are applied each year for the benefit of Education workers in the different Mexican states are in accordance with the Single Salary Negotiation 2024 agreed by the Federal Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) with the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) within the framework of the Fiscal Coordination Law.

Consequently, the State Government applies what is strictly authorized by the Federation according to the corresponding tables.
The State Government reaffirms its commitment to the application of the increase, in the terms of the Fiscal Coordination Law, for which it will make the corresponding payments to state personnel, with its own resources and in a budgetary effort so that they receive the same percentages as the federal personnel.
