The City Council of Mérida and the artisans of Dzityá, with the support of the Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Mérida (Canaco ServyTur), will hold from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, August 4, the XXIII edition of the Tunich Fair, the showcase largest craft in the Southeast. This event is a sample of the tradition, culture, gastronomy, and entertainment that the Yucatecan capital offers.

When announcing the details of the Fair at the community north of Mérida, José Luis Martínez Semerena, director of Economic Development and Tourism of the City Council, highlighted that this year, in addition to enjoying the artisan riches, it will give a special place to the city’s gastronomy.

There will also be a billboard of 40 shows with prominent local artists. The invited states for this edition are Michoacán, Puebla, and Guanajuato. He reiterated that the exhibition will be held from July 26 to August 4, from 10 in the morning to 10 at night.

In this edition, we will have the participation of 140 artisans. In 2023, there was an economic impact of more than 6 million 934 thousand pesos, an increase of 15% compared to 2022, with an influx of more than 110 thousand people throughout the ten days the festival lasted. He stressed that gastronomy will have a special place as a primary element in Yucatecan culture, along with crafts.
