Agents of the State Investigative Police (PEI) of the State Attorney General Office (FGE), supported by federal forces, searched the El Yucateco hotel in Valladolid, where they seized drugs and a vehicle and arrested two people.

Last week, police authorities searched six properties: two in the San Isidro subdivision, two in the Jardines de San Francisco housing complex, one in the Esmeralda neighborhood, and the Cantaritos bar.

According to official reports, nine kilograms of cocaine, natural and synthetic drugs, police tactical equipment, firearms, cartridges, and vehicles involved in the crime, among other things, have been seized.

The operations included the location and arrest of a “big fish,” who escaped because someone warned him about the police operation. They were also looking for and arrested another drug dealer, owner of one of the two houses in the “Jardines de San Francisco” subdivision and a hotel under construction called “El Yucateco.”

The agents, supported by agents from the National Guard (GN), Navy, and the Ministry of Public Security (SSP), searched the hotel and detained two people, apparently workers there. At the site, they found natural drugs in a backpack, and they seized a vehicle. However, the authorities have not provided a report on the search. They secured the hotel,  which is still in construction but already in operation.
