According to the notice from the Regional Port Captaincy, the Carnival Dream set sail from Cozumel on Thursday, July 8, at 4 in the afternoon, bound for Galveston, Texas. The passenger would have fallen into the sea at 2:30 a.m. on Friday, July 9.
The man overboard incident would have occurred at coordinates 22 degrees, 58 minutes, north latitude and 087 degrees, 60 minutes north longitude, approximately 81.9 nautical miles northeast of Río Lagartos.
