Emilia Esther Calleja Alor is the first woman appointed as the general director of the Federal Electricity Commission.
“Emilia has enormous technical capacity, and she is also very aware of the need to continue strengthening the Federal Electricity Commission,” said the president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum during the appointment.
Emilia Esther Calleja Alor is an electronic engineer from the Technological Institute of Celaya; with a master’s degree in Administration and Senior Management from the Autonomous University of Coahuila; specializing in administration, resource management, and operation in the electrical industry.
She is currently the general director of the Productive Subsidiary Company CFE Generación I and during her career, she has collaborated in various areas of the Federal Electricity Commission for more than 21 years, such as General Superintendent of a thermoelectric generation plant.
Emilia Esther Calleja Alor, future General Director of the Federal Electricity Commission, recognized the CFE as a company that supports its workers to develop professionally, for which she thanked the appointment of the virtual President-elect.
“I thank Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo for the great honor she has conferred upon me by appointing me to this position of such great importance,” said Calleja.
She assured that during her administration, she will continue to strengthen the 54% participation of the CFE in national generation so that electricity reaches all homes at affordable prices and promotes the efficient use of energy and the energy transition.
