According to a 911 report, an attack with a firearm took place on Saturday, September 14th, around ten at night in a bar in Fraccionamiento Las Américas, Mérida, Yuc.

On the night of Saturday, September 14th, a report was received through the emergency number 9-1-1 of a person injured by a firearm. This attack occurred in a bar near the Plaza Royal Campocielo located in Fraccionamiento Las Américas.

Minutes later, the SSP began its corresponding protocol before the emergency and arrived at the scene of the events.

It is noted that the victim was hit by a bullet. He was immediately assisted and later transferred with his family to a hospital. Hours later, the victim was declared dead.

Agents of the State Investigation Police and ministerial agents of the State Attorney General’s Office took over the crime scene, to gather evidence, and analyze the case circumstances. The whereabouts of the perpetrators of the homicide are still unknown, and no arrests have been made concerning this crime.

Of course, an armed attack in Cancun, Chiapas, Michoacan, Oaxaca, or Sinaloa is everyday news, but not in our Merida. Could this be a warning sign that things are about to change in our beloved state once Morena takes office?
