The airline Avianca announced a new air route that will connect Bogotá with Tulum, starting next December.

As announced by the Quintana Roo Tourism Secretariat (Sedetur), the start of this new connection will be on December 10.

Avianca will offer three weekly flights between the Colombian capital and the “Felipe Carrillo Puerto” International Airport in Tulum, reported Bernardo Cueto Riestra, head of Sedetur.

The flights will be operated with Airbus A-320 ships, which have a capacity of 180 passengers.

This represents more than a thousand seats available weekly for those who wish to enjoy the wonders of Tulum and the Riviera Maya.

The new Bogotá-Tulum air route adds to Avianca’s efforts to expand its presence in the Mexican market and facilitate access to key tourist destinations.

David Alemán, Avianca’s sales director for Colombia and South America, stated that 2024 has been a historic year for Avianca, with the return of iconic destinations and the incorporation of Tulum to our route network. Our strategy seeks to connect millions of travelers from more than 25 countries with the paradise of the Riviera Maya, consolidating Bogotá as the axis of the region.
