State and federal authorities followed up on anonymous citizen calls; they found substances distributed in bricks, bags, and jars.
Mérida, Yucatán.- More than 100 kilograms of marijuana and various synthetic drugs such as crack and crystal meth were seized by state and federal forces during the search of two properties in Mérida and Kanasín.
On 34th Street between 19th and 21st in the Leona Vicario neighborhood, municipality of Kanasín, approximately 104 kilograms of cannabis distributed in bricks, bags, and jars were seized; chemical drugs were also found.
On Quetzalcoatl Avenue on 16th Street in the Chichén Itzá neighborhood, east of Mérida, and as part of these joint actions against drug dealing in Yucatán, approximately six kilograms of marijuana were seized.

In both searches, the authorities seized personal identification documents, among other evidence related to the commission of the crime.
These operations are derived from anonymous citizen calls to 089 and from previous investigations and interventions in which evidence, statements from witnesses, and detained persons made available to the corresponding authorities have been obtained.
In the searches, conducted by control judges, elements of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) assigned to the State Investigation Police (PEI), the Canine Unit (K9), and Citizen Security, in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), participate.
Federal forces include the Army, the Navy, and the National Guard, all to permanently combat this type of crime against health.
