Clean-up work is underway in Celestún after the passage of Hurricane Milton

The Government of Yucatan, together with the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), and the SEDENA, are in Celestún to continue serving the affected population.

The program “Let’s help ourselves to the Cleaning of Celestún” is about to begin, after the passage of Hurricane Milton near the Yucatan Peninsula.

The State Government in charge of Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena will be leading the cleaning program in the streets of Celestún.

Likewise, elements of the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) will participate on behalf of the federal Government sent by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

The inhabitants of Celestún will be assisted with the delivery of support for their homes, they will receive food supplies and other services.

Also, personnel from the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) continue to work to provide electricity service throughout the municipality.
