A Progreso fisherman bleeds to death on the high seas after suffering an accident.
A fisherman from the Pescamex 22 boat died this Tuesday, October 22 after suffering an accident at sea. One of his legs was crushed, causing a hemorrhage that provoked the man’s death before he could reach port.
The body was taken to the Deep Sea Port of Progreso, where his relatives were waiting for him. The accident occurred around 9:00 a.m. when the fishermen were moving supplies and ice from the Cancún ship to the Pescamex 22.
A Navy rescue ship arrived at the scene, but the fisherman had already died. The victim was identified as Miguel Ángel O.P.
