A group of euphoric fans knocked down the barricades at the National Auditorium set up for the premiere of “Wicked,” where stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are expected to appear.

Many people without tickets even camped outside early in the morning to watch the parade of stars, but security went wild and soon there was chaos.

According to reports, several people were injured, which could delay the appearance of the talents for security reasons.

What is the new Wicked movie about?

It is a film inspired by the musical created by Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz, which takes as a reference the book by Gregory Maguire. The plot works as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz following the story of Elphaba and Glinda, who meet as students at the University of Shiz in the wonderful Land of Oz.

Despite their differences, these two people develop a deep friendship that will face challenges after their encounter with the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

The film, directed by Jon M. Chu, stars Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, the headmistress of Shiz University. Jonathan Bailey plays Fiyero. Ethan Slater plays Boq. Marissa Bode plays Nessarose, Elphaba’s sister, and Jeff Goldblum takes on the role of the legendary Wizard of Oz.
