A violent crash between a vehicle and a Noreste truck left one person dead and several injured on the Conkal- Mérida highway, near Xcuyún.
The events occurred in the early hours of this Thursday, at the height of the Millet mirrors.
According to the events, a motorist who dozed off crashed into the back of a truck from the Noreste company.
Due to the strong impact, the car quickly caught fire as well as the truck, burning the driver of the compact to death.
Meanwhile, several passengers who were on the bus were injured but managed to get out of the truck in time, which was engulfed in flames.
The road remained closed for hours by the State Attorney General’s Office and the State Investigation Police PEI of the SSP.
