Potential tropical cyclone 19 formed in the Caribbean Sea, with its center 735 kilometers east of Guanaja Island, Honduras, and 960 kilometers east-southeast of Punta Herrero, in Quintana Roo.

According to information from the National Water Commission (Conagua), it has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour, gusts of 65 kilometers per hour, and is moving west at 9 kilometers per hour.

At the moment, it does not represent a danger to Mexican territory, but it remains under surveillance.

The system is expected to become tropical storm “Sara” on Thursday and will continue to strengthen as it moves near the coast of Central America.

Through her social networks, Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama highlighted the importance of the population knowing and being aware of the alert levels and asked to stay informed through official media.
