Tire shop consumed by fire in Uman, Yucatan

(Umán, Yucatán.- November 25, 2024). – A strong fire was recorded in the early hours of this Sunday, November 24th, in the streets of Uman’s San Román neighborhood.

The incident which occurred at around 2 in the morning, mobilized a large number of emergency units to a tire shop located on 16-A Street in the San Román neighborhood.

It was a municipal police unit that noticed the fire, so the officers proceeded to try to put out the flames while notifying the firefighters.

Unfortunately, although they did everything possible, the fire had already spread rapidly through the premises, because inside it had a large amount of tires, plastic, wood, oils, and equipment.

At one point, the uniformed officers saw a male person who was inside the premises. As best they could, the police managed to rescue Mr. Lorenzo M. C. from the burning property

Three firefighter units arrived at the scene to put out the flames that had already consumed the entire workshop.

It took the firefighters a couple of hours to completely extinguish the fire.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, only material losses.

The fire department took charge of the investigation to find out what caused this unfortunate tragedy.
