A driver died after overturning his car on the Tizimín-Calotmul road near the crematorium. The unfortunate man René Ramírez Castañeda, 42 years old.
According to the first reports, the accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, November 26.
It was not until the morning of that same day when motorists passing through the area noticed the unit overturned in the grass. It was in a ravine, which made it difficult to see from the road.
Agents from the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) arrived at the scene to cordon off the area. Minutes later, paramedics confirmed that the man no longer showed vital signs. Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) were notified to carry out the corresponding legal procedures. The case was still under investigation yesterday to determine the exact causes of the accident.
