More than 200 companies from various sectors participate in this event.
With a call to transform the way business is done in the state, Digital Economy Week 2024 began a space that seeks to provide companies with digital tools that boost their competitiveness, efficiency, and capacity for expansion into national and international markets.
This event is organized by the Secretariat of Economic Development and Labor (Sefoet) in conjunction with the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra) Yucatán and the National Chamber of the Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Industry (Canieti) Sureste, and is taking place until tomorrow, November 27, in person and free of charge at the Siglo XXI Convention Center.
During the opening ceremony, the Undersecretary of Investment, Economic Development and Financing of the Sefoet, Roger Góngora García, stated that “we work so that companies of all sizes – micro, small, medium and large – adopt digital tools that increase their competitiveness.”
“Digitization not only generates benefits in trade but also in efficiency, cost reduction, and opportunities for expansion into new markets,” he added in the presence of the presidents of the National Chamber of the Clothing Industry (Canaive) Yucatán and Canieti Sureste, Gerardo González Morales and Julián Morales Rivas, respectively.
He also stressed that this edition has the participation of diverse sectors, from agroindustry, textiles, construction, food, and beverages, to hotels, technology, and services, with more than 200 registered companies, of which 45% are microenterprises, 25% are small and 30% are medium and large. For his part, the president of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) and Canacintra Yucatán, Alejandro Gómory Martínez, declared that digital transformation is the new industrial revolution, in which the digitization and automation of processes will be the component that will elevate industrial Yucatán to the highest standards of competitiveness.
The Digital Economy Week brings together leading companies such as Google, Mercado Libre, Amazon, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Micro, and local platforms such as Herencia Viva, share their experience and practical tools on topics such as artificial intelligence, e-commerce, and technological solutions.
