Yucatan grows in premium tourism attention with Destino Mío Mayan Jungle Retreat, which after an investment of 100 million pesos put into service new facilities and infrastructure to provide guests with an experience of peace, relaxation, and harmony with nature, in 250 hectares of jungle where comfort and gastronomy stand out.

Representing the Governor of Yucatan, Joaquín Díaz Mena, the Secretary of Tourism Development, Darío Flota Ocampo, accompanied the owners of Destino Mío Mayan, Soizic Moussié and Gabriel Bejár Berman, to the second anniversary of this site full of mysticism and adventure, located in a place where you can feel the freshness of the waters of three cenotes.

The owner of Destino Mío, located in the municipality of Tekit, Soizic Moussié, highlighted the vision she had to invest in Yucatan and share with tourists this space that invites them to rest and forget about everyday life.

She indicated that, due to its location in the Yucatan jungle, the hotel preserves nature, so it is a door to a world that makes it possible for visitors to disconnect from everything since it offers various spaces for them to get out of their routine or simply from the hustle and bustle of the city.

“We are in a sanctuary of silence and life, of reconciliation with oneself, with the environment and nature, with elements of sacred geometry planted in different areas of the hotel that give it a mystical touch,” she noted.

In the presence of the mayor of Tekit, José Antonio Sosa Hernández, he highlighted that Destino Mío, located within the Anillo de Cenotes Geohydrological State Reserve, gives visitors a space to reconnect with themselves, where people are filled with energy and breathe the peace of nature.

He stressed that in its first two years, it has obtained recognitions such as Mayan Villages, Summit 2024, Sustainable Tourism, Jaguar Award, The Best of Yucatan in the health and wellness category, and Trip Advisor 2024, among others.

Among the amenities offered by the hotel are: Casa Adolfo with 3 rooms, Glamping village with 8 tents, 6 suites, a restaurant with national and international food, Holistic Center, Utópika Holistic Oasis with Massages, healings, Mayan ceremonies, intention tubs, cocoa ceremonies.

The resort also boasts areas for weddings, events and retreats, ecotourism, private cenotes, a children’s area, adventure tours, green areas, palapas, a pool, a viewing point, “El Ojo”, 12 meters high, built entirely of wood and bamboo, as well as 7.5 kilometers of trails for bicycle tours, a garden, and solar panels.
