A joint operation by federal and state forces on a property in the Brisas subdivision, east of Mérida, resulted in the seizure of 158 kilograms of cannabis, five methamphetamines, and three powder cocaine and crack.

As reported in a press release, a metal box with cash, two notebooks, two scales, and other documents were also seized.

The search of the property located on 49th Street and 16-B in the Brisas subdivision resulted from investigations and previous arrests of men and women accused of crimes against health, as well as citizen complaints to the emergency numbers 911 and anonymous complaints 089.

Based on the information and evidence collected by investigating agents and prosecutors, the search warrant was executed on Friday, December 10 at night, and obtained from a control judge.

The Yucatan authorities appreciate citizen collaboration and reiterate their call for all suspicious or illegal activity that people observe to be reported to the aforementioned numbers.
