The Guitar Quartet is made up of students and graduates of UNAY, under the direction of Mtro. Manuel Rubio, Full-Time Career Professor. His interpretation of Yucatecan music seeks to encourage the learning of regional folklore genres and promote creativity through original arrangements and compositions.

The artistic director of the Guitar Quartet, Manuel Rubio, highlighted that this initiative not only pays tribute to the cultural heritage of the state but also offers a platform for artistic development for students of the Bachelor of Musical Arts. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of exploration and innovation in the interpretation, arrangement, and composition of music inspired by the Yucatecan musical tradition.
