The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Yucatán, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, the Mexican Army, and the National Guard, executed search warrants at two homes in the El Roble neighborhood of Mérida.
Until now, the amount of drugs that were found in these places, which are both located on 8th Street between 61 and 63-B of the neighborhood above is unknown. It has also not been confirmed if there were any arrests.
The operations began in the early hours of Thursday, February 6, and stemmed from intelligence work that the State Investigative Police had carried out in the area in previous weeks.
After the searches, the homes were secured for the pertinent investigations.
A simultaneous search was carried out in the Mulsay neighborhood of Mérida, where explosives were allegedly found, although, until the night of Thursday, February 6, neither the state police nor the Mexican Army had reported about it.
Three people were arrested in this same place, according to the first reports. A house in Chicxulub Puerto was also searched yesterday. In the three simultaneous operations, 38.8 kilograms of cannabis, 4.4 kilograms of crystal, 2 kilograms of crack, and half a kilogram of powder cocaine were seized.
