A 70-year-old man suffered burns on his body when he tried to save his dogs from a fire that consumed his home, located on 63rd Street, between 120th and Zamná Avenue, in the Yucalpetén Subdivision.

According to witnesses, the elderly man entered the house to rescue his pets but was trapped by the flames. Neighbors managed to get him out through the back of the building, however, the dogs were not so lucky.

The fire destroyed the house and a vehicle that was parked in the garage. Authorities and emergency services attended to the incident, although the causes of the fire are still unknown.
