Shouting “We want in!”, search groups for missing persons from Jalisco and Nayarit entered the Izaguirre ranch, a suspected extermination camp of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
The mothers alleged that the state Attorney General’s Office had cleaned the site, eliminating key evidence.
The Izaguirre ranch, located an hour from Guadalajara, has been identified as a training and murder site for young people who refused to join the CJNG. After its discovery, relatives of victims demanded access to the site to verify the status of the investigation.
However, upon arrival, they reported that the buildings had been cleaned, with no trace of clothing, shoes, or belongings of potential victims. “This is not what we saw,” the searching mothers stated in a live broadcast by Milenio, asserting that the authorities intend for the case to be forgotten.
Despite the presence of police and the National Guard, the members of the collective groups advanced along the dirt road to reach the site.
According to witnesses, the state government attempted to control access with groups of ten people, but the searchers decided to enter without restrictions.
The families criticized the lack of response from the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office and the absence of its head. They also charged that the ranch now resembles “a museum” instead of a crime scene requiring forensic investigation.
The complaints have rekindled outrage on social media, where they demand justice and transparency in the investigations into this site linked to the CJNG.
