Through his Twitter account, Governor Roberto Borge Angulo said Thursday morning that at 6 p.m. District Attorney Humberto Alvarez Escalera will announce more details of the operation.

Unofficially it is known that six subjects were arrested, four of whom were from Tamaulipas and Tabasco. In their first statements, the suspects disclosed that they belong to the Cartel Jalisco New Generation, who came to Cancun a few days ago with the intention of obtaining control of distribution of various types of drugs.
