The three free exhibitions will remain on display till December….

MERIDA – The principal exhibition, “Oracle” by Silvia Andrade, will be inaugurated Friday September 29, at 9 p.m. in Olimpo Cultural Center, room 3.

The photographer captured 64 images of flowers, herbs, pollen, cells and a lot of tiny details of plant that belongs to the Regional Botanical Garden “Roger Orellana” with a scanning electron microscope from the Center of Scientific Investigation of Yucatán (CICY).

In the exhibition, the public will see the flower of dzidzilché and chile max, pollen and a stoma (a cell through which plants breathe), among other tiny details that go unnoticed, said the photographer, who offers her work in images in black and white. She was inspired by the book “I Ching. The Book of Mutations,” which encouraged her to present the images in this way as an expression of darkness and light as well as silence.
