In the first days of November, Cozumel’s National Chamber of the Food Industry (Canirac) contemplates the launch of a promotional video that seeks to attract tourism through gastronomy.
“The name of this video, “Savoring Cozumel” (Saboreando Cozumel), was selected after a survey conducted through social networks. The material has already been presented to the Secretary of Tourism (Sedetur) of the State of Quintana Roo who has already approved its publication”, said María Josefa López Castillo, chair of the restaurant owners association of Cozumel.
“We require a greater promotion to attract tourism and develop projects aimed at joining efforts” said the president of the Canirac.
The date for the presentation of a video in which the restaurant industry entrepreneurs of Cozumel have worked for several months is yet to be determined, as this material will be part of the actions taken by the Government of the State of Quintana Roo to promote the island of Cozumel.
The video lasts two minutes and seeks to impact at a regional level, and it will be diffused through social networks, with the purpose of making it viral throughout Mexico, the U.S. and other countries in the world.
Lopez Castillo also mentioned that the final material was already presented to Marisol Vanegas Pérez, head of Sedetur, who welcomed the project from the first moment she was told about it.
The date of the official presentation is tentatively set for the first of November at a venue and time still to be announced by SEDETUR authorities.
