Campeche will host for the first time the Air Show 2018 that will take place at the pier and the dock, on February 24 at 4 pm and will bring together five of the best acrobatic pilots in the world.
The activities will start on Friday February 23 with the aerobatic practices that will be carried out at the Campeche’s “malecón” in the stretch between the Government Palace and the San Francisco dock, in front of Plaza Galerías Campeche.
The event, which received an investment of $ 9 million pesos contributed by the National Tourism Promotion Council of Sectur, is expected to leave a profit of 6 or 7 million pesos, generated mainly by hotel occupancy, food and drink consumption at restaurants and other tourism services.
This event will include the participation of five pilots, from Canada, United States and Russia who will perform a series of high-level stunts and also precision skydiving, as well a parachute descent from a helicopter,using kayaks and then performing other “tricks” on the waters of the Campeche bay.
The most similar acrobatic event is the Aeroshow, which takes place every year in the Mexican Caribbean and was pioneered by late director general of local TV Channel 10, Captain Eduardo Toledo Parra.
