Vegans make public demonstration in downtown Merida

On Saturday April 14, activists of Vegan Mérida, carreid out a public demonstration at “La Plaza Grande“.

This social group that is against the consumption of meat, given the cruel treatment that the animals suffer in the process of obtaining their meat in the slaughterhouses across the state.

With their faces covered with masks, the participants held posters with the legend “Verdad” and portable screens with images of what happens inside the slaughterhouses as an attempt to raise awareness and invite the citizens to stop meat consumption.
