Yucatán present at the Guanajuato International Summit of Gastronomy 2018

The state of Guanajuato is ready to receive nearly 70,000 attendees that are expected for the International Summit of Gastronomy 2018, which will be held from May 29 to June 12.

With the aim of rescuing, conserving, promoting and disseminating the ancestral heritage and contemporary expressions of Guanajuato cuisine, the summit will feature  12 different venues within the state.

The Secretariat of Tourism of Guanajuato announced through its Twitter account that everything is ready for the inauguration of the Summit that will offer more than 47 gastronomic events.

On the summit’s website it is explained that this year the municipalities that will participate are Celaya, Guanajuato, Irapuato, Leon, Salamanca, San Francisco del Rincon, San Miguel de Allende, Mineral de Pozos, Silao, Salvatierra, Dolores Hidalgo and Atotonilco.

 

Also present the event, the national guests that are Mexico City, and the states of Mexico, Yucatán, San Luis Potosi, Queretaro, Oaxaca, Hidalgo, Veracruz, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, Guerrero, Chiapas, Baja California and Puebla.

Meanwhile, Japan, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Argentina, Panama, Brazil, Peru, Guatemala and Chile will attend as the invited countries.

The sixth meeting of Traditional Cuisine Guanajuato will take place on Tuesday May 29, featuring more than 50 chefs and more than 40 traditional cooks.
