Businesswoman committed to consolidate Livestock, Fishing and Agriculture Business in Yucatán

With the commitment to contribute to the promotion and strengthening of the Yucatan countryside, Nery Triay Lucatero, president of the recently created Livestock, Fishing and Agriculture Business Association of Mexico, expressed that this industry desperately needs to be strengthen in the Peninsula and all Southeast Mexico.

Before representatives of business chambers, producers, entrepreneurs as well as state and municipal authorities, she asked them to work together to make the agricultural and livestock sector more productive and competitive.

The Yucataecan businesswoman and breeder of registered cattle reaffirmed her commitment to the sector and thanked the trust placed in her to represent the association.

Before the Undersecretary of Rural Development, Roberto Tolosa Peniche, on behalf of the State Government and the Mayor of the City Council, Mario Martínez Laviada, representing mayor Renán Barrera, and in charge of taking protest from the members of the Board of Directors, assured that the objective is to strengthen the sector and make the livestock industry more dynamic until it becomes one of the strongest and most relevant activities for the State’s economy.

“For more than 20 years I have been dedicated to livestock, so I have kept myself in constant training in order to respond to the current situation and be prepared for future circumstances and challenges. I am convinced that in order to obtain short and long term benefits, we must consolidate bases and be aware of adopting the technological and management strategies for a sustainable activity,” she stated.

Triay Lucatero also asked the members to work together with conviction in order to make Yucatan one of the most important states in the country in terms of livestock and agriculture.

Finally, the Undersecretary of Rural Development, Roberto Tolosa Peniche said that the state government needs to collaborate closely with the private initiative, in order to create more employment in this sector.
