The former president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, arrived in Mexico on Tueday Nov. 12th, at 11:09 AM in a plane of the Mexican Air Force, as a political refugee after his resignation last Sunday.

After facing complications to leave Bolivia, the Mexican aircraft that transferred the former president made a stop in Paraguay, and finally landed at the international airport of Mexico City at 11:09 a.m.

On Monday, Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard said he received a call from the former Bolivian president, through which he responded to Mexico’s invitation for political asylum for humanitarian reasons, which he accepted and made the formal request.

Yesterday, Evo Morales Ayma boarded a Mexican Air Force plane to Mexico, Ebrard Casaubon confirmed on his Twitter account @m_ebrard.
