CHAMPOTÓN, CAMPECHE (Times Media México) – On November 12, many photographs circulated online on which a group of lights crossing the sky of Champotón, Campeche,can be seen. The images filled social networks, as the users questioned the origin of what they saw.
However, Mexico wasn´t the only place where these lights left the community speechless, the same lights were observed in the southern coast of Spain, in the province of Andalucía, where the same line of lights crossing the sky were photographed, and fortunately, it was possible to obtain a video of the events, where it can be clearly appreciated the similarity with the images shared on Facebook, in Mexico.
In Spain, the event was reported with greater accuracy, by the Spanish radio station Cadena SER, where an explanation to the strange appearance of these lights was revealed.
In the article published by the Spanish media, the community of Spain reported the event through Twitter, they pointed out about 30 lights that could be seen, which according to some users, looked “elongated” like worms.
The media reported that despite the speculation by the people of Andalucía, the small lights in the sky, were merely satellites of Space X, the company involved in aerospace transport, directed by tycoon Elon Musk.
The company Space-X, is seeking to improve the quality of the Internet in the most remote regions of the world, so it is creating its own high-speed satellite Internet network, which is why it has launched a series of satellites called Starklink into space.
One month ago 60 of these space devices were sent, although it is said that a total of 42 thousand satellites will be placed in orbit by Musk’s company in the next 6 or 7 years.
Space X, has been questioned by astronomers, who have expressed their discontent with the lights generated by the space units. They claim the intense light these artifacts emit prevents them from accurately observing the stars, so, Elon Musk, has committed to decrease the brightness of his satellites in the near future.
